the best app so far and the one i'm using.

pros:

- great capture of hard to get elements such as menus
- great timing, object and selection functions for screenshots with layover icons
- no library, smart folders or tags for your screenshots, they simple go to the folder you chose
- unobtrusive and simple
- built in screenshot viewer of your screenshot folder
- option to add helper apps to send the screenshots to after they are taken and after editing and saving in the same folder, simplecap's built in viewer updates the changes accordingly
- great hotkey support
- less complicated than instantshot
- japanese developer (asian software rules)
- much more (check the manual here http://xcatsan.com/simplecap-en/manual.html)

cons:

- no uploading function yet but the developer seems kind on suggestions
- app helper adding in preferences should have a remove button
- no list of files contained in the screenshot saving folder, in the built in viewer (have to press next to reach the last image)
